Artist Talk between Jacques Louis Vidal & Cody Ledvina

Nature of Things & Jardin are pleased to announce the upcoming solo exhibition of Jacques Louis Vidal titled “Plot Tweest”, opening Friday, October 2 at 2608 Dunlavy St. Houston, TX from 7-10pm. Vidal titled the exhibition after the software that he engineered to assist producing his drawings with a plotter (Plot Twist). Vidal’s works on paper are accumulations of elaborate automated mechanisms—the drawings move from his human hand to his robot hands and back again. Vidal’s small sculptural works, carved plywood caverns which he calls “instruments of…” further diagram his focus on processes that layer and condense information into cross-sectional visual histories, humble instruments of memory, and thought.
This is Vidal’s first exhibition in Houston, where he grew up.

James Sterling Pitt

On view from October 3-31, 2026
Address & hours upon request

Nature of Things is pleased to share a sculpture installation opening during the Untitled Art Week in Houston by Jamie Sterling Pitt, commissioned and conceptualized by Pat O’Donnell, on view through Halloween.

Further Information:

Pitt and O’Donnell met at the Houston Art League dinner in 2025. They bonded over art and their life experiences. Pitt shared his near-death experience, and at that time O’Donnell had also been speaking with Jeffrey Kripal at Rice University about his “Archives of the Impossible.”

O’Donnell has been decorating his front lawn in West University for Halloween for the past 7 years as a cheeky yet gravely serious “public art project.”

The graveyard has previously featured simple white crosses, and this year will be entirely sculptural forms made by Pitt, and engraved with the chosen names. They express Pitt’s unique sculpture design and colors to compliment the individuals whom the gravestones are hoping to honor, or the event from the prior 12 months.

While of the people are recognizable names, many are personal to O’Donnell. This year the graveyard honors 10 individuals: artists, personal friends, an economist, and many more.

O’Donnell and Pitt see this as an annual, ever-evolving artwork installation.
